Managing client stores
Each client store needs its own BackupMaster installation. Billing goes through the client’s Shopify account — they see BackupMaster charges on their Shopify invoice, not yours. Staff accounts with app management permissions can install and manage BackupMaster on behalf of the store owner.Development stores
Shopify Partner development stores can use BackupMaster at no cost while the store remains in development. You get full access to your selected plan’s features without being charged. No credit card or billing approval is needed. When a development store transfers to a store owner:- BackupMaster’s free access ends immediately
- The new owner needs to approve a paid plan to continue using BackupMaster
- Existing backup data is preserved through the transfer — no reinstallation is needed
- If the owner does not approve a plan, BackupMaster stops running backups
