BackupMaster covers the core business data that keeps your BigCommerce store running — products, customers, orders, themes, and more. The table below shows every data type BackupMaster backs up and whether it can be restored or cloned.

Products include variants, images, options, modifiers, reviews, bulk pricing, custom fields, and videos (links to the video, not the source video file). Orders are backed up and can be exported for reporting and record-keeping. BigCommerce limits updating existing orders, so BackupMaster does not support restoring or cloning orders.

Unsupported data types

The following items aren’t currently backed up. Some are inaccessible due to BigCommerce API limitations, others are managed by third-party services, and some haven’t been prioritized yet. This list changes over time as we expand coverage.
  • Option sets
  • 301 redirects
  • Store settings (logos, branding, email templates)
  • Third-party apps and their data
  • Shipping data
  • Widgets
  • Theme customizations (changes made through the theme editor)
  • Blueprint (legacy) themes
  • Email subscribers
  • Scripts (including Script Manager)
  • Digital product files (for example, downloadable products)
